Do you ever wonder, wonder if the murder longed for someone to listen or acknowledged their existence? If a rapist could be forgiven or if the person or persons that hurt you, in an unspeakable manner could ever regain a place in your life. Do you ever wonder, if there can be true peace when a body is riddled with continuous pain? If the bondage of emotional hurt and pain can somehow give way to freedom and forgiveness. What if one truly seeks the answers to these questions? What would that journey look like? I believe that these are some of the questions that Jesus was addressing In Matthew 7:7 -8 when He said;” Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Fore everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What if your wondering turned into seeking, a desire to obtain information? In Romans 12:2 another glimpse is given as we read “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. “The question of why does God allow evil is a question that resounds with all people if there is a God how could he allow these things? Some simply deny the existence of God’s involvement. As followers of Christ we carry the mantel of His words in Mathew 20:16-20 “Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountains where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said. “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And Surely, I am with you always. To the very end of age. In verse 17 we read that some doubted, and Jesus was merciful and goes on to provide reassurance by stating “all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Truth is as we continue to live, life is a series of turbulence's as well as moments of laughter and seasons of great peace and joy. In the book of Revelations, we read stories, that many may say depicts the state of the world today. I believe since everything old is new again, that the book clearly speaks of the past, present and the future. The book of Revelation can be viewed as God’s merciful reassurance. As followers of Christ we know and believe that we are not alone. In the final analysis between good and evil God wins, no matter what battles we face.
