Where Is Your Heart Posture?


Psalm 18:16-19 He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of the deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.


This passage of scripture came alive for me tonight as I drove home from work, on a familiar road, I was a bit tired and the road is not well lit. I was speeding trying to get home and within a split second before I knew it I was inches away from a two-car accident in the middle of the road, I got my presence of mind quick enough to swerve the car just in the nick of time. When I pulled away from the accident my heart was racing when I realized what could have happened to me tonight. As I continued to drive, I was shaken and took several deep breaths to regain my composure. I pulled over for gas and just praised God. When I got out of the car to pump the gas, I noticed that I was in pain from the tightening of the seatbelt. When I felt the pain my first thought was what a gracious God, we (I) serve thank you, Lord. This was truly a but God moment one of many. As I am writing the pain is evident, however b
