Can you imagine the creator of the world simply asking you to enter His presence? In Matthew 6:27-33, He does just that. His word states, "Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you-you of little faith? So do not worry, saying what shall we eat? Or What shall we drink? Or what shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But SEEK first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." God understands where we are and knows what we need. He simply asks that we trust Him enough not to try to reinvent salvation. He has already done that with the life of Christ. God knows that a moment in His presence can change our lives. In Luke 19:5-6, we meet Zacchaeus, who is seeking to experience the presence of Christ, so much so that he climbs a tree. The passage reads, "When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today. So, he came down at once and welcomed him gladly." I want to encourage someone today. You do not have to be perfect, and your actions don't need to be understood by everyone, your career or life path does not have to be carve out meticulously, you don't have to be articulate, you do not have to have it all together. But you do have to seek Him first. The secret that many believers are still looking for lies in Luke 8:46, "But Jesus said, someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me." You see, Jesus knows that if you seek Him, His power will strengthen you. When you seek Christ, things change. Your life will never be the same. Elements like hope, joy, and love, even the Sun and the moonlight shines brighter. The secret lies in seeking to bring God into your presence. You do not have to clean up or change your old ways, God will take care of the heavy lifting. However, you must come down from the tree for healing to begin. The tree will be different for all of us it could be emotional or physical. Just seek Him and watch His hand move in your life. Remember Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, a form of seeking. The lady in Luke wanted to touch Jesus's garment, another form of seeking. I want to stay connected to Him, so I seek Him through reading and writing. How can you seek Him today? Open the door. You will be pleasantly surprised to find that His presence was always there?
God loves you, and so do I.
