Genesis Chapter 6 "God Feels"

Many people read the Old Testament and only see the wrath of God. But I challenge you to take another look. And see the heart of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's character to you as you read His word. Join a bible-based church that does in-depth bible study. Whatever you do, get to know God, actively build a relationship with Him, and do not accept someone else's version of God. Noah did exactly that in Genesis chapter 6, we glimpse some of God's heart verse six states, "The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled." This verse indicates that His children's choices can hurt God; his longing for a right relationship with us is evident in verse 13 "So God said to Noah, I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth."

The verse starts with what God said to Noah, indicating a relationship. I believe this is the type of relationship God wants with all his children. To walk, talk and provide the best for them. In verse 9, we are told the secret to walk with God. "This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. He walked faithfully with God." There you have it; it was faith. It was not a life of perfection or living a life without sin. It was a life full of faith, faith that God will teach him how to live righteously, faith that only God can share with him his purpose. When God spoke to Noah, he provided him with everything he needed to complete his assigned task. And Noah also gave God something incredibly special in return. He gave him his obedience and trust. The next time you wonder if God understands, rest assured that He does, and in no way, shape, or form does He take you are your feelings or needs for granted. Remember that Noah found favor in the eyes of God; by his faith, in God, you can too. Romans 10:9 states, "If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Let me encourage you to re-read the Bible from the beginning. In God's word, you will experience truth as you have never seen it before.

Remember God Loves you and, so do I.
