Examining Truth

Truth will always evoke change; I was reminded today in church that when the Holy Spirit enters your life that life as you know it will never be the same. Realizing that God is truth and in Him there is no darkness is one of the first steps to understanding who God is in our life. Truth does not change; it does not compromise, and it does not make excuses, what it does is allows light to come in and exposes all the fallacies of our prior thinking. In John 14:6 Jesus states “I am the way the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” When a decision to serve Christ is made and we have truly been born again change happens, however life still goes on around us. Our lives are not untouched by the realities of life we still feel physical pain, emotional struggles and heart breaks however; we have an advocate as noted in 1 John 2:1 says “ My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin But it anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father- Jesus Christ, the righteous one. Today is a good day to see if your life reflects the truth of God’s word.
