Enjoy the Journey

I woke up at three in the morning, with my mind racing and thoughts coming at me left and right. Some of the thoughts were complementary, and others were negative. As my mind raced, a still small voice injected with a simple phrase that sounds so cliche, enjoy the Journey. Then I pictured a body of light holding open a door. I did not stop to acknowledge who held the door open; I rush past. The voice broke through again to say. You are so busy trying to get there you forgot to stop and appreciate the growth, the love, the people, and even the challenging moments. Not to mention God himself that made it all possible. I was so busy trying to keep it together, focusing on making life better and being the best version of myself. There is nothing wrong with any of these things. The issue was I became so consumed with them that they became my God. Each stumbling block in our lives is there to promote growth. Even if the stumbling block is something positive, God wants us to stay focus and connected to Him because He knows when we are faced with impediments, if we are not grounded in Him, we will get overwhelmed. God has placed all the answers we will ever need in our connection to Him. His love for us will sustain us through each hurdle; Our connection to Christ is not only sustaining. It is life given. When life pushes against our hope, the word of God reignites our faith.

Romans 10:17 "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." Yesterday I was blessed to be with my son when we saw a double rainbow. They were bright and vibrant. What a great symbol of God's promise, grace, mercy, and love to all of us. I stop by to remind you that enjoying life's journey is a lot simpler than one may think, stopping and looking up in the morning before you get in the car to appreciate your maker. Simply acknowledging the beauty and amazement of rainbows. Appreciating the wonderfully diverse people God has placed in our lives. Place your focus on the one that matters our Heavenly Father.

P.S. Know that you are not alone. God loves you, and so do I.
