Do You Know Your Protector????

This week, I was having trouble sleeping through the night. I was anxious about something. I finally said Lord, are you trying to tell me something? What is going on? I believe He was trying to reassure me of His continued protection. Last week Saturday, I was in a car accident that shook me. On my way home from Miami, I just spent the evening talking about God and fellowshipping with other believers. As we got ready to depart, we join in prayer for several things, including God’s protection. I was driving home with a smile in my heart that was way bigger than the one on my face. When out of my peripheral vision, I saw an SUV to my left, varying over into my lane. I sped up to avoid getting hit, but it happened I got hit on the back drivers’ side. My car veered out of control onto the median, across the exit lane of Ives Dairy Road, and when I finally regained control of the car, I was on the exit extension. It was a miracle I was not hurt; it was a miracle that not one car exited as my car was out of control, and the damage to the car was minimum. I drove away without a scratch. When it was all over, I could not really speak of it. I went into shock, and there began my sleepless nights. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around what happened. Then it was clear, and it was Psalms 18:16-19 “ He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of the deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place: he rescued me because he delighted in me.” This passage of scripture came alive for me on Saturday. I have seen God show up for me so many times. I am so in love with the way God loves me. I stop by today to remind you to be ready and vigilant about your relationship with Christ. He is still in the miracle-working business. If you are reading this today and have any doubts about God as a protector. I want to remind you that the same God that protected me on Saturday and every day of my life also protects you, and He wants a relationship with you. Wherever you are today, if you feel the call of God on your life, stop and acknowledge Him, and He will guide your steps.

Deuteronomy 30:19 “This day I call heavens and earth as a witness against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. Now choose life so that you and your children may live.”

God loves you, and so do I.
