What if I tell you that waking up today and getting out of bed is a reason to celebrate? Why you wonder. Because you have another opportunity to make a difference in the world that God created. Another opportunity to walk in the fullness of Christ. There are days when just getting out of bed makes you a hero, and these moments should be celebrated. During this season we tend to look back at the year and even past years, and instead of celebrating ourselves for making it through the year we look forward to what we are going to do next. Without acknowledging the trials, we overcame this year. When was the last time you took a walk and just admired the handy work of our heavenly father? When was the last time you help someone that could do nothing in return for you? These may seem like weird ways to celebrate but helping others brings such joy. Offering praises to God and admiring His handiwork brings such peace and hope to your soul. Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know them full well.” If we believe this scripture, then celebrate your life right where you are. Yes, things can be better, but a celebration is in order because our Lord and savior created you beautifully and wonderfully. Celebrate because God loved us so much that he gave His only begotten son. The word of God tells us in John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friend.” God, the father is our friend. For every challenge that life presents there is a solution. The solution is Christ, his ways are higher than our ways many times we don’t see the outcome that we want. However, there is never a better solution than Christ even during our most challenging moments. Celebrating yourself takes courage, to see and acknowledge that it was not always easy, and you didn’t always get it right but, you made it. You persevered through all with God by your side. Why not share the love of God with someone that needs to know that hope is still alive and well in a world that seems hopeless? Provide someone else the opportunity to celebrate.
