2020 King's Child

John 3:16

“ For God so love the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

As the year opens filled with so many unknown questions and expectations; exciting thoughts of the new adventures, dance around like sugar plum fairies. A few suggestions to unpack and use this year are courage, trust, open expectations, honesty, vulnerability, forgiveness, friends, vision, and love. “The greatest of these being love”, As I pondered what I would say in the first blog of 2020 it became apparent to keep it simple, I would like to show up this year glowing as the King’s Child. Saying yes to the ways of my heavenly father and stop wasting time with the trivialities of the world. This year I issue a challenge to say yes to embracing courage, trust, open expectations, honesty, vulnerability, forgiveness, friends, vision, love, and following the path that God has outlined for you despite any preconceived views we hold of the way our life should be.

Courage-to accept and share the life-changing good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Trust- and understand that in life there will be hard times, but God is our strength and He will never leave us or forsake us.

Open Expectations -stay open to what God has in store for the next chapter; it may not fall under the well-organized plan you have for your life. Be open to God allow Him to lead and you follow.

Honesty- be honest with yourself about where you are, allow the Holy Spirit to be your guide with what God is doing.

Vulnerability- be vulnerable with God, He already knows allow Him to heal you, there is no condemnation in Christ.

Forgiveness- forgive yourself because God already has, and then forgive others so you can get busy sharing the good news of Christ.

Friends- become the friend that you want in your life in someone else’s life. Be the one that prays, listens, shares the word of God and will stand in the gap.

Vision- spend time with God, He will show you what steps he has ordained for you to take.

Love- love yourself, “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son” your life is worth a savior’s death. Let that sink in for a moment.
